The Energy TF drives innovation in energy savings in home networks and influences industry stakeholders like the EU CoC, the EUP, ETSI, and Energy Star.

Key Release 3 projects include Energy Efficiency Requirements for Home Gateways, Common Power Supply, Home Gateway energy testing, and Home Energy Management and Control (HEM) service. The HEM work is currently very active and has consolidated HEM use cases from service providers within HGI, and is now describing the technical architecture to support this service.
